Privacy Policy
Outside Support (“Outside Support,” “we,” “us”) operates outsidesupport.org (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you contact us or submit an interest or referral form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, the school, and the student’s grade. Our forms do not ask for a child’s name or any details about a child’s experiences.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through cookies and similar analytics tools, to understand how the Site is used.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
We use this information to respond to you, follow up about the program, coordinate next steps and enrollment, send updates you’ve requested, operate and improve the Site, and comply with the law. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the Site and our communications — for example, the tools we use to collect and store form submissions (such as Google) and our email and analytics providers — and when required by law. We do not sell or rent your information.
Referrals and enrollment
When you share your details, a member of our team follows up to talk through the program and next steps. Our groups are currently run in partnership with the Bullying Research and Victim Empowerment (BRAVE) Lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. If you decide to move forward, we’ll direct you to the University of Nebraska’s eligibility and enrollment forms, which are operated by the University and governed by their own privacy policy, not this one. Any information you provide there — including details about your child — is handled by the University of Nebraska.
Links to other sites
The Site may contain links to other websites we don’t control. We’re not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at team@outsidesupport.org and we will delete it.
Data security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, or ask us to update or delete your information, by emailing team@outsidesupport.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
